A classic gore anime from 2004 featuring a group of scientists in Japan trying to create a new line of superhumans with powers called Diclonius. But everything gets out of control when the Diclonius Lucy escapes from her compound, eliminating everyone in her path. But a guard manages to injure her and make her fall off a cliff into the sea. Lucy reaches the coast, where Kota and her cousin Yuka take her home and help her, but Lucy does not remember anything and cannot speak. Here, the scientists do everything to recover their specimen, even sending more Diclonius, which only unleashes Lucy’s true self.
7. Hunter x Hunter
It’s another classic anime from the early 2000s you shouldn’t miss. Gon was left in the care of his aunt for many years, believing that his father had died, until his father’s assistant informed him that he was still alive and had become one of the best hunters. That is why Gon leaves home and takes the hunter’s exam. During the exam, he meets his new friends and begins his journey full of challenges that take him away from meeting his father.

Although Boruto is currently the most popular, colorful ninja of the decade, it all originated with the wonderful story of his father. Initially, Naruto is an outcast and orphaned boy in a village of ninjas, studying to become one despite his awful skills. But it is revealed to Naruto that everyone keeps him away because inside him is sealed a mighty legendary beast that attacked his village when he was born. Still, being very optimistic, Naruto follows his path to become a great ninja and the leader of his village. This anime is full of comedy, dramatic moments, and great battles.
5. Inuyasha
You’ve probably heard of Yashahime, but you must first watch Inuyasha for that anime. At the beginning of the anime, Inuyasha wants to get the Shikon Jewel to become a full demon. Still, the priestess Kikyo, with her last breath, manages to stop Inuyasha by freezing him with an arrow to the sacred tree. But 500 years later, Kagome lives with her family in a temple but is attacked by a demon that drags her to the past. There, Kagome realizes that she is the reincarnation of Kikyo and accidentally frees Inuyasha. Besides that, by accident, the Shikon Jewel is broken into thousands of fragments that she must recover with the half-demon dog.
4. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is another of the best shows on Amazon Prime, and the anime encompasses several stories of the Joestar lineage, each arc changing its protagonist, such as Jonathan, Josuke, Jotaro, or Jolyne. Each of the protagonists, in their different parts, must fight against supernatural forces. The anime begins with Phantom Blood with Jonathan in England in 1880, and in this same timeline, it reaches part 6: Stone Ocean with Jolyne in Florida in 2011. The rest of the parts of this anime belong to alternate universes.
3. Land of the Lustrous
Many years later, after Earth suffered the impact of several meteorites, the immortal crystal people are the only form of life. But these crystal people live in war against the Lunarians, so they fight against them to prevent them from destroying them and using their invaluable crystal bodies. Among the gem people is Phosphophyllite (Phos), who has a very low level of hardness in his gem and is, therefore, too weak to fight. For this reason, Phos’ master sends her to investigate the world and make an encyclopedia; this is where her adventure begins.

Riko is a young orphan living in a city near a huge crater called The Abyss, where a very developed civilization has disappeared. There are the Cave Raiders, explorers who enter the Abyss for artifacts but face a disease called the Curse of the Abyss. Rika’s mother was one of these explorers and disappeared on her last expedition, but Riko wants to become an explorer and find her mother.
1. Evangelion
Neon Genesis Evangelion is a post-apocalyptic anime where pilots fight in mechas against the Angels, a race of monsters that have killed many people worldwide in each of their waves of appearance. In Amazon Prime are the four compilation films of one of the best anime, Rebuild of Evangelion; the first two films take aspects of the anime and add new scenes. The last films are continuations and present a new ending.
Amazon Prime includes in its catalog anime considered the best in history in the IMDb ranking. Other honorary titles that should not be missed and that are on the same platform are Death Note, Vinland Saga, and Dragon Ball.
