How To Get Bones in Palworld

A femur will do. Or a tibia or two.

Palworld can be a grim place, and to survive and thrive you’ll need to use every resource at your disposal, even Pal Bones. Several types of Pals have Bones as a common drop, meaning you can get them by killing or capturing the right creature. Not every Pal that probably has Bones in its body drops this resource, however, making it a bit tricky to figure out where you can get this item. That’s particularly true if you’re trying to farm Bones in large numbers. Bone-collecting is just one area in which Palworld proves darker than Pokemon, but don’t let that stop you. Here’s how to get Bones in Palworld.

In Palworld, capturing or killing certain Pals will cause them to drop Bones, but only if Bones are a possible loot drop for that type. That means that you can’t just use a Meat Cleaver to butcher Pals at random. Well, you can, but you won’t end up with a pile of Bones at the end. If you don’t want to slaughter Pals for no reason and waste your own time as well, you need to be choosy. Here are some of the Pals that drop Bones in Palworld:

  • Vixy
  • Rushoar
  • Cawgnito
  • Vanwyrm
  • Bushi

One of the best places to look if you want to get Bones quickly in Palworld is the area around the Desolate Church. The habitat you want extends north from there to the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings and south to the Small Settlement. That’s because this area is home to large numbers of Vixy as well as Rushoar. One of the quickest ways to track them is to search from the skies using a flying mount. Nitewing, Vanwyrm, Quivern, and other flying Pals work equally well. What matters is you get a good vantage point from which to spot your prey. Do that, and you’ll get a graveyard’s worth of Bones for crafting.

Palworld is available for PC in early access.
