There are many different Pal in Palworld, and most of them have the ability to fly. If your level is high enough, you can capture these Pals and craft suitable saddles to ride them and fly freely around the map. It is extremely important to capture flying mounts as soon as possible because this way you can easily explore the huge map of Palworld and discover new places as well as new Pals.
How To Catch Flying Pal Nitewing in Palworld
The first flying mount you can get in Palworld will be Nitewing. This Pal has only a Level 2 Gathering ability. Although it can be obtained extremely early in the game, it is really admirable that it can fly with such performance.
You can ride this Pal when you are Level 15, but it is possible to catch it earlier. When you are Level 15, the Nitewing Saddle is unlocked in the Technology section and you can learn and craft it for 2 Technology Points. You will also need the Pal Gear Workbench to craft this saddle, which is unlocked at Level 6.
Nitewing Saddle craft recipe:
- Leather: 20
- Cloth: 10
- Ingot: 15
- Fiber: 20
- Paldium Fragment: 20
Where To Find Nitewing in Palworld
Nitewing can be found at many locations, including the starting points of the game in Palworld. After all, it is an early-game creature. The spots marked in orange in the image above are the areas where Nitewing lives and where you can find them. This creature usually attacks you from high up, so if you don’t have a Bow or a ranged Pal, you may have a hard time hitting it with melee weapons.
Also, don’t be fooled by its low level, it can kill you directly after breaking your Shield, so it hits quite hard. Be careful not to accidentally kill Nitewing when trying to weaken it, especially if you’re using a Fire-type Pal, as it can be quite annoying to go through this process again. After capturing the Nitewing and crafting the Nitewing Saddle, you can summon your Pal with the “E” key and hold down the “F” key to mount it.
You can then use “Space” to ascend and “CTRL” to descend. To give you a pro tip, if you want to increase your time in the air, fly as high as possible with Nitewing and Dismount after your Stamina runs out, your Stamina will be reset after you Dismount. This will allow you to use your Glider to glide for longer distances while in the air.
