Guns are your second best friend in Palworld, just behind the titular magical Pal creatures. But as you can expect from ranged weapons, it takes ammo to use them, which is made with metal. As Metal is used to craft many other things too, the “metal grind,” as the community calls it, can be extremely mindnumbing. Thankfully, a Reddit user Otherwise_Food875 has found a clever trick to help you save Metal and alleviate your Ammo woes in Palworld.

First, to start the ammo trick in Palworld, head to Eastern Wild Island‘s fast travel point. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, fly to the northeast from Fort Ruins Eagle Statue until you reach the second island. Once on the island, go to the middle part to find a Level 40 Black Marketeer below a small cliff opening.

Now kill him and you will get 24,622 Coins for the trouble. If you’re still at a lower level than him, just build a Hanging Trap at his feet and put a Campfire under him. That should take care of the poor NPC easily. To make the Black Marketeer respawn, look behind you for a tall cliff and just fly a circle around it until the NPC reappears. Repeat this Palworld Ammo trick process as often as you like.

After you have accumulated enough Coins, it’s time to go to the Fisherman’s Point Eagle Statue. It is located on the volcanic island, southwesternmost of the whole Palpagos map. Near the fast travel point, you can meet a Level 10 Wandering Merchant who’s selling a bunch of Ammo types.

Coarse Ammo, Handgun ammo, Assault Rifle ammo, you name it. Each is sold at the prices listed below. At this point of the Palworld Ammo trick method, obviously, you just need to buy as many of them as you like. Of course, to make things easier for you the next time around, you can capture the Wandering Merchant and place him in your base.
