As you level up your base in Palworld, there’ll be times when your old gear just doesn’t keep up with the progress. That’s where you need to mine new materials to build stronger weapons and more advanced tech. For instance, unlocking electricity for your base is the start of your journey to look for Pure Quartz in Palworld 1.0, but you won’t find this rare item everywhere in the realm.

What Is A Pure Quartz?

Pure Quartz is one of the rare resources in Palworld that you won’t need early in the game, but as you reach higher levels, it becomes an essential part of your progress. It’s mostly used to create Circuit Boards, Weapon Assembly Line II, Sphere Assembly Line II, and more.

Where To Farm Pure Quartz in Palworld?

There are 2 major ways to find Pure Quartz in Palworld 1.0:

  • Find it in snowy regions of the map in the northwest section.
  • Spend 5 Ancient Technology Points and unlock a Pure Quartz quarry in your base. Requires 70 stones, 100 Pure Quartz, and 30 Paladium Fragments to build.

You’ll unlock the Pure Quartz quarry later in the game as you level up, which is the best way to farm this material anywhere in the realm. Some strong mining pals like Astegon and Anubis are most useful when it comes to gathering a ton of this resource in your base and out in snowy regions of the map.

As for the open Pure Quartz mining deposits, I found the best spot to be on the west and middle part of the Unthawable Lake region. You should also note that beating the Pal Genetic Research Unit Tower in the same region is absolutely essential to access and build the Pure Quartz quarry later in the game.

If you don’t have the quarry and don’t want the hassle of travelling to this region to mine this material, it’s best if you build a base near the Pure Quartz deposits. That way you’ll farm this item without even trying.
