The Skate series from EA has been around since 2007 in one form or another and the newest ones are mainstays because of their comedic value more than anything else. EA Skate seems to be making its way onto mobile, namely iOS, according to some recently leaked images of the game in action.
The images show what the game looks like and what kind of on-screen controls fans can expect once the game rolls around (no pun intended). There were some prior leaks that suggested that a mobile version was in development, but these images are pretty convincing as far as leaks go. Although Stake Mobile is far from being ready for release, according to the leak, it is in the pre-testing phase. That pre-testing is the reason why the images got into the wild in the first place. The leaker shared images of the default controls, app logo, gameplay, and more.
EA Skate Mobile Images Leaked Along With Some Features
According to the playtester, this closed beta test will run until March 4. Other confirmations include cross-progression support, which will allow players to pick up where they left off regardless of which platform they are playing Skate on.
And the best part has to be the ability to play Skate Mobile against people who are not playing on mobile. This means that players from all platforms will be playing together. This should come as very good news for fans as it will combine all players and make playing online much easier. As for the mobile experience, it seems that for now, Skate Mobile is running at 20-30 FPS with average performance on older iPhones. But since this is an internal test, this should change in the future.
EA has not confirmed any of the aforementioned details, so we recommend taking them with a grain of salt until an official announcement.
