Exploring the dangerous realms of Nightingale is made manageable by bringing allies along. The online co-op feature of Nightingale is approachable, as with any multiplayer survival title, but there are some conditions you must fulfill before you can play with friends. Here is how you can set up a session of your own!
How to Play Nightingale Online Co-op with Friends
To invite friends for an online co-op session in Nightingale, you must first complete the tutorial, after which you can hit the ‘P’ key to open the Social menu. Take the following steps to invite your friends to your session:
- Open the ‘Party & Social’ Menu.
- Hit ‘Create Party’.
- On the left, enter your friend’s Nightingale username in the search bar.
- Invite this player.
- If they’re not nearby after accepting your invite, select ‘Invite to Realm’ under their card in the ‘Party & Social’ menu.
Take these steps, and you’ll have comrades in your battle for survival as you journey through the game’s various realms. This helps ward off predators or even building shelter, as you can use each other’s structures like tents or campfires.
How to Unlock Nightingale Co-op
As previously mentioned, Puck has a set of tasks for you across multiple realms and portals before you can play with friends. These include foraging for supplies, building a campfire, making food, crafting equipment, building shelters and bedding, and finally hunting and combat. The hunting tutorial is the last area you’ll encounter, so when you open the portal and beat the enemies that appear while the portal forms, you’ll then get to choose your preferred realm.
After this tutorial is complete, you can immediately join friends online. It’s a simple, and helpful tutorial even for survival game veterans, as there is a surprising degree of realism to the Nightingale mechanics which are beneficial to know in online co-op.
Finally, a parting word of advice is to choose the Desert realm maybe not first, as you’ll battle heat, exhaustion, and giant grasshoppers before getting your bearings.
