This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

In the latest Dying Light 2 update, guns and firearms were finally added to the game. Getting weapons isn’t the hardest part since you will get a pistol in your stash after completing the prologue. The main challenge, however, is finding and getting the ammo for them. So here is how to get and find ammo in Dying Light 2.

Where to Get Ammo in Dying Light 2?

Dying Light 2 is a survival game, which means finding valuable items such as ammunition will be hard. But you can make the process of finding ammo in the game a bit easier and less time-consuming by eliminating the places where you know you will never find ammo.

Basically, there are three ways you can get ammo in Dying Light 2:

  • Looting armored zombies
  • Looting containers in the Military Convoys
  • Buying Ammo from Jai

Normal zombies will never drop ammunition therefore don’t look for it on their body. Instead, the zombie that wears a sort of armor like a helmet or chest armor will drop some ammunition. So when you face one and defeat them, make sure to loot their body for ammo.

However, the best place to get ammo in Dying Light 2 is the Military Convoyes. They are marked on your map, which makes the process of finding and gathering ammo a bit easier. But clearing these places will be tougher. In these locations, you can find large green containers, and inside them, you will find two types of ammo randomly. This is by far the best way to get ammo in the game.

And lastly, you can purchase ammunition from Jai, the merchant that sells your gun as well. I recommend buying ammo only if you want to complete a tough mission and don’t have time to gather ammunition by looting. Otherwise, saving those tokens for a better and more powerful weapon is best.

It is important to understand that Dying Light 2 is not a first-person shooter, which means that the game is not designed in a way to always use firearms. Therefore, it is best to save up ammunition for larger enemies to take them out from afar or in situations where you don’t have any other weapon at your disposal.

That was everything related to getting and finding ammo in Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Make sure to check our website for more guides and articles since tons of new stuff has been added to the game.

Dying Light 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
