So far, 2017 looks like a promising year with many gaming, movie, and television releases in store. One of the most important and exciting releases being Hugh Jackman’s final run at playing Wolverine in Logan. While there has already been a trailer released for the new Wolverine flick, it leaves much to the imagination. However, Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman, sent out a tweet a few days ago announcing the official synopsis for the film and featuring some new photos from the shoot.
Since the trailer’s release, fans having been pulling a parallel between the upcoming film and The Last of Us. And it looks like fans might not have been too far off. With its tear-jerking trailer and vague synopsis pictured above, it feels very Last of Us. From what we can gather, Logan, a.k.a. Wolverine, is in a secluded spot on the Mexican border caring for the dying Professor X. The ex X-men has done his best to stay under the radar until a young child is brought to his door. In the trailer, they stress that the child is a lot like Logan and he must protect her from The Reavers.
Obviously, little is still known about the film still but I still remain incredibly hopeful. Logan will mark Hugh Jackman’s ninth time playing Wolverine. Ser Patrick Stewart will, obviously, be playing Professor X. Others involved in the film are Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, and a few others. The film is set to release March 3rd, 2017 and let’s hope that we get another trailer before then!

Despite the numerous complaints and disappointments that came from the previous Wolverine flicks, Logan truly looks and feels like a different experience. In a sea of superhero movies, I’m excited about a film from a different perspective of a fan favorite. Here’s to hoping they send out Hugh Jackman with a bang. How do you feel about the synopsis?
