What Does the Classy Contender Origin Trait Do in Destiny 2?
By definition, the Classy Contender Origin Trait allows you to gain class ability energy with final blows with the weapon the Origin Trait is on. That said, since this Origin Trait grants class ability energy, any situation where you’ll need to use your class abilities is one where you would want to bring a Class Contender weapon. Whether it’s in Crucible, Gambit, Vanguard, or even running through campaigns, it’s not a bad idea to have this Origin Trait with you. However, the weapon you choose for each activity will make a big difference. For instance, if you’re wanting to head into the Crucible, you should avoid bringing a weapon that uses Heavy Ammo.
Which Weapons Have Classy Contender?
If you’re looking to find a weapon that has the Classy Contender Origin Trait, you should be participating in the 2024 Guardian Games as much as possible. All Guardian Games 2024-specific weapons carry the Classy Contender.
