A new season is starting in Fortnite and it’s shaping up to be one of the most epic. The Season’s theme, as well as the skins, NPCs, items, Mythics, and locations that will be added to the game, look incredibly unique and interesting. It’s also important to note that we didn’t yet have a Season 2 in Fortnite that wasn’t entertaining – Epic Games knows how to cook every Season 2. Let’s take a look at all the changes coming with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths & Mortals.
New Locations
With the new season, new POIs are of course a must. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths & Mortals adds four new Legendary Locations to the game. These are Grim Gate, The Underworld, Mount Olympus, and Brawler’s Battleground.
These are the most important locations that have been added to Fortnite with Chapter 5 Season 2 and their atmosphere is really excellent. Although we don’t know for sure at the moment, we can expect to find Zeus in Mount Olympus, Cerberus in Grim Gate, Hades in The Underworld, and Ares in Brawler’s Battleground.
- Grim Gate
- Mount Olympus
- Brawler’s Battleground
- The Underworld
New Weapons & Mythics
With the opening of Pandora’s Box, the Greek Gods have arrived on the island of Fortnite and brought their own deadly weapons with them. Thunderbolt of Zeus, Gatekeeper Shotgun, Harbinger SMG, Huntress DMR, and Warforged Assault Rifle can be found in chests or as floor loot. However, if you want to get the Mythic versions, you need to kill the bosses they are related to.
- Thunderbolt of Zeus: Zeus
- Gatekeeper Shotgun: Cerberus
- Harbinger SMG: Hades
- Huntress DMR: Zeus
- Warforged Assault Rifle: Ares
- Wing of Icarus
- Chains of Hades: (This Mythic item will be added to the game later in this season)
New Weapon Mods
Two new Weapon Mods are also being added to the game, Thermal Scope and Speedgrip. You can attach the Thermal Scope to any weapon that can be equipped with a scope. You can also turn the thermal sight off and on at any time.
The second Weapon Mod, Speedgrip, allows you to increase your movement speed while aiming. Just like in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, we will be able to attach Weapon Mods to our weapons in Fortnite Myths & Mortals Season through the Mod Benches in the Vaults.
- Thermal Scope: A thermal scope that you can turn on and off at will.
- Speedgrip: A Weapon Mod that increases your movement speed while aiming.
Myths & Mortals Battle Pass
If you don’t normally get the Battle Pass for Fortnite, you might want to consider getting this. The reason for this is that the skins it will give you are quite unique, and you will get a lot of V-Bucks out of it.
The Myths & Mortals Battle Pass can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks and you will receive a total of 1,500 V-Bucks back for completing it completely. The Battle Pass will be available until May 24, 2024, at 2 AM ET.
All Notable Rewards in Myths & Mortals Battle Pass:
- Cerberus
- Aphrodite
- Poseidon
- Medusa
- Zeus
- Artemis
- Hades
Ranked Mode Changes
Last season in Fortnite, it was extremely easy to rank up by doing nothing but hiding until the end of the game. Fortunately, Epic Games realized this relatively quickly and took steps to change this.
It’s now harder to get to Unreal rank, and you won’t get Ranked Points if you don’t take damage throughout the game.
Minor Changes
- Chug Splashes are back.
- New Midas skin added.
- The Floor is Lava mode is back.
- Legend of Korra collaboration will take place later in the season.
- A new Star Wars collaboration will take place later in the season and it will add Wookie Bowcaster Weapon.
- New Victory & Ranked Umbrellas
- New boss medallions.
So that’s everything you should know about Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths & Mortals changes. As a result, this season will be more dynamic and engaging with these new locations, weapons, and Mythic items. Personally, I’m glad we’re finally getting rid of the dull Season 1. I didn’t like Chapter 4 Season 3 in Fortnite either, and those two were definitely competing with each other in terms of awfulness. But this season looks like it’s going to be amazing.
