Whether you’re a Killer or Survivor in Dead by Daylight, you need to know how the Prestige system works if you want to make reliable builds that suit your playstyle. This is because DBD has different and unique features, and combining these perks is vital for decent builds. This is where the Prestige system comes into play, as increasing the Prestige of a certain Killer or Survivor gives you rewards. Without further ado, let’s take a look at how the Prestige system works in Dead by Daylight and its rewards.
How the Prestige System Works in Dead by Daylight
As many old players are already well aware and new players are noticing, every Survivor and Killer in Dead by Daylight has their own unique perks. For example, if you play Dwight Fairfield, this survivor’s unique perks are Bond, Leader, and Prove Thyself. When leveling up Dwight Fairfield in Bloodweb, you will use his skills and can upgrade these perks up to Tier 3.
If you continue to level up Meg Thomas’ Bloodweb Level, you can upgrade the perks to Tier 3. But let’s say you really like Dwight Fairfield and want to increase his Prestige Level more in Dead by Daylight. When you make Dwight Prestige Level 3, all his unique perks will unlock on your other Survivors directly at Tier 3. So, when you make a build for another character, you don’t need to search for the perk to increase its tier in Bloodweb.

To summarize, every time you increase a Survivor or Killer’s Bloodweb Level to 50, you increase their Prestige Level by 1. When you make a character Prestige 1, you can use their perks on your other related characters. This means you can use Killer perks on your other Killer characters and Survivor perks on your other Survivors.
Dead by Daylight Prestige Rewards
Prestige Level | Unlocks |
1 | Character’s unique perks to other characters as Tier 1 |
2 | Character’s unique perks to other characters as Tier 2 |
3 | Character’s unique perks to other characters as Tier 3 |
4, 5, and 6 | Bloody cosmetics exclusive to Survivor or Killer |
7 | Charm version of the character’s first unique perk |
8 | Charm version of the character’s second unique perk |
9 | Charm version of the character’s third unique perk |
These are the Prestige rewards in Dead by Daylight. We think they should change it again and bring new cosmetics specific to Prestige levels.
In a worst-case scenario, at least for their efforts, special cosmetics should be introduced only for characters with Prestige 100. Because right now, getting any character to Prestige 100 is not worth the grind.
