Once Human: Harborside Location Guide

A place flooded with loot.

By now, you might’ve noticed Once Human includes many exploration tasks. Whenever you arrive at a big settlement, you can activate its anchor, defeat a few foes, and find rare chests filled with useful loot. While the early game locations are easy to tackle, those above level 10 are more challenging and require you to scour every nook and cranny of these places. One of the most difficult places to navigate in Once Human is Harborside. It is a former harbor full of enemies and water, which makes exploring it much more difficult.

Where To Find Harborside in Once Human

While it is an optional location, we recommend heading to it for a few reasons. First, it is level 12, so the creatures there aren’t hard to defeat. Second, it includes new materials that allow you to craft Tier 2 weapons and armor, as well as better facilities. To find it, head to Deadsville and travel south until you reach the coast. It is the only location in the southern part of Broken Delta.

Exploration Tasks

Like other areas, you must complete certain objectives to get rewards for clearing this place. These are the tasks for Harborside in Once Human:

  • Find a Mystical Crate.
  • Defeat one Elite Enemy.
  • Defeat 15 normal enemies.
  • Find one weapon or gear crate.
  • Activate the Rift Anchor

Since the water and Deviant alligators make this place difficult to navigate, we’ll break down each objective below.

Mystical Crate

If you enter Harborside in Once Human from the bridge, as you can see in one of our pictures, the easiest way to find the Mystical Crate is by turning right and heading to the boat.

You can enter the boat by climbing the crates next to the contaminated wall. Alternatively, you can jump in the water, swim toward the stern, and climb the boat.

Note: On your way to the boat, you will encounter an Umbrella Defiant. Defeat it to complete the Elite Enemy task of this location.

Once you’re on the boat, head to the topmost cabin to find the Mystical Crate.

Weapon/Gear Crate

This location only tasks you with finding one weapon or gear crate. The easiest one to find is also on the boat. Once you open the Mytical Crate, exit the cabin and head to the stern.

You will encounter stairs that lead to the boat’s interior. They are flooded, but you can swim around to make your way to the chest.

As soon as you enter the boat, keep going straight, and you’ll spot two cabins. Head to the one on the left side to find a weapon crate.

Activating the Anchor

By now, you might’ve killed almost all enemies inside Harborside; all that remains is activating yet another anchor in Once Human. Like many others, you can find it by following the purple beam of light. If you’re having difficulties, the anchor is in the middle of the town across the destroyed bridge. Be careful, though, as there are many Alligators around this area.

While these are all the tasks you need for the exploration quest, there is more loot around this area. I recommend sticking to the roofs, as there is one more gear crate and a hidden treasure that appears once you interact with the floating crystal. Other than that, this place is a great way to farm Hides. Alligators drop three to four hides, making a perfect spot to get materials for your armor. So, grab your weapons and your favorite Deviant, and prepare to dive into this flooded location full of loot.
