While the heroes you collect will be fighting on the field, your protagonist can give support from behind. You can equip various spells on your arsenal via the Artifact screen; the first one you can get is the Awakening Spell, which can heal your units. As you progress through the main story, you can unlock more powerful magic. One of the strongest Artifacts you can use in AFK Journey is the Starshard Spell, which deals AoE damage.
AFK Journey Starshard Spell Artifact Guide
You can obtain the Starshard Spell Artifact in AFK Journey by unlocking the Dark Forest 7 area and completing the Lucent’s Lament story mission. To defeat the monsters in this zone, you must reach Level 100 and beat AFK stage 350. This is easier said than done; I’ve been playing this game for a week, and I’ve only upgraded my units to level 80.
Of course, there is no need to get impatient. AFK Journey is a relaxing game where you can passively gain materials when you’re not playing. If you regularly play the game every day for two weeks, you should be able to meet this requirement.
Unfortunately, unlike Confining and Blazing Spells, you cannot cheat by dipping your hands into microtransactions. Those two Artifacts are available for purchase at the Trolley for 140 Dragon Crystals. You can get 140 Dragon Crystals for $5.99, which is not cheap.
Anyway, there’s no need to waste your money on in-app purchases. Just take your time, and you’ll eventually get the Starshard Spell Artifact. Once you have it, you can change your Artifact via the Resonating Hall.
The Starshard Spell lets you unleash a wave of flame that damages all enemies and apply ATK Speed debuff for 60 seconds. If you wish to upgrade this Artifact, you must beat the Dream Realm boss on Hard difficulty four times.
