  • How to Make the Homelessness Notification Disappear

Inย Manor Lords, your duchy will startย offย with a bunch of homeless people, and it’s up to you to provide homes and ample opportunities for them.ย That’s one of the earliest problems you need to fix unless you want Bandits to pick off your loyal subjects or,ย worse,ย turn them into Bandits indirectly.ย Here’s how to fix homelessness inย Manor Lords.

The first five families you’re provided with in Manor Lords will be living in camps until you’ve built them Burgage Plots so they can move in. Burgage Plots or the standard housing in Manor Lords, however, costs Timber depending on the size and you might have enough of that depending on your starting supplies.

If you set up your game settings to haveย an abundance ofย starting supplies, just build Burgage Plots for the families.ย Most Burgage Plots can house one family, but those with asymmetrical extensionsย might be able toย house two families depending on their shape.

If you start with no additional resources and supplies, here’s how to efficiently fix the Homelessness notification:

  1. Build a road that connects to the King’s Road (main road) and connect it to a forest.
  2. Build a Logging Camp near the forest with your initial Timber supply.
  3. Assign at least one family to the Logging Camp.
  4. Once you have a surplus of at least 10 Timber, start building Burgage Plots (2 Timber each). If you have extra Timber, you can build a Burgage Plot with an extension (for Chickens or Vegetables, later on).
  5. Build at least five Burgage Plots for the starting five families you have. Ideally, they would be moving into those vacant Burgage Plots.

However, since the game is still in early access, you might find that the Homelessness notification persists even if you’ve built numerous vacant Burgage Plots.

Here’s a potential fix below, which may or may not work for everyone. Also, note that you might not need this fix in the future.

If you find that your starting five families aren’t moving into the vacant Burgage Plots you built, here’s what you can try:

  1. Save the game manually. It doesn’t matter which slot or what name. Just save it.
  2. Quit to the Main Menu.
  3. Load the game you saved. The Homelessness notification should be gone, assuming you have enough Burgage Plots to house the five initial families you get.

If the Homelessness warning in Manor Lords still exists, then try closing the game after the save and then loading it back in. Or just wait for a fix, which should be inevitable.
