With the release of Destiny 2’s final expansion, The Final Shape, on the horizon, there will be loads of changes coming. Some of those changes include getting rid of the season mechanic altogether and starting up something called Episodes that will vary drastically from the seasons we’re used to now. Among these changes might be the option to collect weapon patterns and get them crafted. Therefore, if we’re to lose some of the crafting capabilities we have now, it’d be a great idea to stock up on some crafted weapons before The Final Shape releases. Let’s check out the 10 best craftable weapons to get before it’s too late.
10. Royal Executioner
Now, Royal Executioner was one of my favorites from the Season of Defiance. Since it’s a Fusion Rifle, it’s also a bit lower on the list’s popularity, but it can be a great go-to if you don’t mind the charge time for it. If you’re going to craft a Royal Executioner, you’ll want to make sure you grab Envious Assassin and Reservoir Burst, which can be alright with the possibility of getting bonus damage shots. However, it does have perks available that can make it useful in any situation, like Incandescent, Grave Robber, Threat Detector, and Swashbuckler.
9. Semiotician
The Semiotician is the only Strand Rocket Launcher that can be crafted, so it might work well with any Strand builds. However, Rocket Launchers are some of the best weapons when it comes to purely concentrated boss DPS, so it’s never a bad idea to have one on hand. There are quite a few perks that can easily put Semiotician above some of its competitors, like Field Prep, Impulse Amplifier, Explosive Light, and Frenzy. While it might not be extremely useful in PvP settings, the Semiotician can be pretty great in a PvE setting and can deal some pretty wild damage.
8. Brya’s Love
Brya’s Love is a great Scout Rifle with some amazing perks that released along with The Eremite and Semiotician in the Season of the Witch. While the weapon itself doesn’t have anything that is too overly impressive, the perks that it can roll with are really what makes it good. The first column perks available aren’t too fantastic, aside from Rapid Hit, but once you get into the second column, perks like Frenzy, Destabilizing Rounds, and Explosive Payload are available to increase effectiveness. You can match Brya’s Love up with a Void build and deal some pretty great damage from a distance.
7. Scalar Potential
Scalar Potential is a great weapon overall for any type of PvP play, and while it might not be the most useful during The Final Shape, it’s always a great weapon to have around, considering it will no longer be craftable soon. Scalar Potential is an Arc Pulse Rifle with a Rapid-Fire Frame and Dragon’s Vengeance, and it has the ability to seriously mow down enemies like they’re nothing. With perks like Keep Away and Headseeker available, it becomes unstoppable in Crucible matches.
6. Appetence
Now, I’m a huge fan of Trace Rifles, and I probably always will be, but Appetence is just a great all-around Stasis Trace Rifle to take into The Final Shape with you. Trace Rifles typically tend to be better for PvE play styles, but with Appetence’s perks available, you can use it for quite a few different styles of play. Using Overflow and Killing Tally or even Demolitionist and Headstone can put your damage output through the roof and essentially keep you from having to reload. This is definitely a great weapon to craft before you get into The Final Shape.
5. Regnant
It’s not very often that Grenade Launchers are a go-to for a heavy weapon, but when they are, there are definitely some that you should choose before others. One of these is Regnant, a Grenade Launcher that released with the Season of Defiance and has some pretty great rolls that can be taken into The Pale Heart when we get to The Final Shape. For this weapon, you’ll want to watch out for perks like Envious Assassin or Auto Loading along with Explosive Light. The Regnant Void Grenade Launcher can be pretty impressive for dealing loads of boss damage and clearing combatants in larger groups.
4. The Eremite
Out of the Season of the Witch weapons, the first one you’ll want to get your hands on is The Eremite Fusion Rifle. Having both Envious Assassin and Controlled Burst will help to sustain DPS. Considering the fact that Controlled Busts lasts for the entire duration of you hitting your shots, the DPS stays higher for a much longer period of time with buffed shots on hit rather than with Royal Executioner. This Solar Fusion Rifle can be deadly if your aim is on point.

Subjunctive is an Arc Submachine Gun that released along with Season of the Wish. It comes with Nano-Munitions for an origin trait, which gives you emergency ammo reserves. I find this pretty useful, considering how fast you can burn through mages with a weapon that fires 900 RPM. Additionally, you can get beneficial stats like Stats for All, which drops in the first column and increases weapon stats after hitting three separate targets, and One for All, which increases your damage as well after hitting three targets. Together, these perks can result in some seriously increased stats if you’re focusing on ad-clear or playing PvE.
2. Scatter Signal
Scatter Signal sits at the top when it comes to Fusion Rifles. It’s a Strand Fusion Rifle with Rapid-Fire Frame, and it sits in the Kinetic slot, so you still have room for any great Energy weapons as well. It can deal a wild amount of damage, especially with the possibility of Controlled Burst and Overflow as available perks. You can use the damage buff from hitting multiple shots in a row to optimize your DPS output and make Scatter Signal an obvious choice for a Kinetic Fusion Rifle for The Final Shape.
1. Doomed Petitioner
Doomed Petitioner was introduced into Destiny 2 in the Season of the Wish, and it can put out some serious damage as a Void Linear Fusion Rifle. Since it’s an Aggressive Frame weapon, it fires 3-round bursts, making the damage output that much higher. With perks like Envious Assassin or Reconstruction along with Precision Instrument or Surrounded, Doomed Petitioner can easily be one of the best Linear Fusion Rifles available, and the fact that it can be crafted makes it that much better.
Destiny 2 is now available on PX, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
