It’s been a great year for 4X Strategy fans. Age of Wonders 4 launched last Spring, and it reignited the genre while raising the bar with each new expansion. Now, it’s amazing to see this game celebrating its first anniversary. To commemorate the event, Age of Wonders 4 is launching a free update for all players with new anniversary goodies. Some of the rewards include a new interface skin, brand-new mounts, and more. So, if you haven’t visited these mystic realms for a while, now’s your chance.

Age of Wonders 4’s First Anniversary Brings Free Mounts and a New Interface Skin

It has been 1 year since Age of Wonders 4 was released! 🎉

Anyone who launches Age of Wonders 4 will be welcomed with new anniversary gifts. Players can claim an Exotic Raptor Mount and a Raptor Mount Skin, as well as the Scaly UI Skin. While it might not seem like much, it’s actually a great addition to this game. We all know that beyond conquering a realm, what we really want is drip, and nothing’s better than riding across the battlefield as an elf with a raptor mount.

Furthermore, for those interested in seeing what has transpired in Age of Wonders 4 this year, the developers unveiled an infographic with interesting information. I’m quite sad to see Molekin was the least popular form this year. If you want to see the whole infographic, follow this link.

Eldritch Realms Launches in June

For those eager for new content, the wait is almost over. While we knew Eldritch Realms would arrive sometime during Summer 2024, the anniversary announcement of Age of Wonders 4 confirmed the release month for the expansion, which is set for June. So, if you haven’t played any previous DLC, now’s the time to dust off those conquering skills and prepare for the next expansion.

It’s fantastic to see this game growing every day, and one year later, it still stands as one of the best 4X strategy installments in the market. Hopefully, we’ll see more of this universe because we’ll never get tired of creating some crazy cultures to conquer every magical realm in Age of Wonders 4.
