There is a lot of hype surrounding EA Sports‘ College Football 25. However, that hype has recently died down, as the company that is notorious for bad moves may have just made another. This new installment of the game series that made fans go crazy will not be heading to PC at launch. This was a huge blow to many of the returning player base, as most hardcore gamers prefer the power and precision of a PC.
College Football 25 will not be on PC at launch. However, with the game releasing in July 2024, time is running out for an explanation, although a similar thing happened with the Madden franchise. Madden was not originally playable on PC, but in due time, EA converted the famous game to both console and PC.
Fans of the game have already taken to social media to voice their complaints about the game’s launch. “EA Sports College Football 25 not releasing on PC is totally fine. I didn’t want to play it anyways,” one fan said. “We need this to change now. We need a movement,’ wrote another. Another angry fan wants to know, “Why does EA keep hating PC so much? Lmao.” It is safe to say that the game’s player base is not happy. One player even said “What a joke if no PC.”
Although it won’t be on PC, EA Sports’ College Football 25 will be bringing back some of its most popular game modes. That includes Dynasty, Road to Glory, and Team Builder. Road to Glory will be an interesting one as players will go through the experience of an entire college football career.
EA Sports Will Bring Back Classic Game Modes for College Football 25
The difference between this and a game like Madden is that players will have to perform consistently in order for their character to get playing time. EA will most likely add other game modes like College Football Playoff mode as they try to copy the popularity of the real thing.
The most popular theory as to why College Football 25 will not be on PC is legal reasons. While EA Sports can use real college players, they might be worried about modders throwing players who are not supposed to be in the game into the mix. Although they can use real players, some athletes opted out of being put into the game.
Another popular guess as to why the game won’t be on PC is that it may underperform. EA Sports games do tend to underperform quite a bit. This is regardless of what platform the game is on, though. This theory has been all the rage as it holds the most merit.
If this is true, then why wouldn’t EA Sports just come out and say it? If they were to just come clean and tell their player base that they need more time to get College Football 25 on PC, they could really clear the air. However, there is still about a month before the game’s launch. Maybe EA will surprise us.
