The best way to keep opponents on their toes is to learn how to switch up your battle style in the middle of a fight. Stay Back! is a move you should become comfortable with as its versatility allows it to be used at any point in a combo. Use it to follow a move like You Shouldn’t Pass, and then round out the combo with something like Pointy End.
But some moves require caution despite how useful they are. Potassium and Protein give a great buff, but you’re vulnerable. To save yourself, create a distance or wait to use it after you already knocked your opponent out. Even better: use it with the Perk The Iron Temple even if it increases its charge-up time. Also, don’t forget to bring in Whyyyyy???? whenever playing with allies. It’s perfect to give them that extra buff to take opponents out.
