It seems unlikely that anyone who has grown up since the release of Star Wars has not dreamed of wielding a lightsaber, flying the Millennium Falcon, or attempting the Death Star trench run. Disney is attempting to bring some of that magic to life with their upcoming Star Wars-themed areas of their major theme parks. Two parks are being built – one at Walt Disney World and one at Disneyland Resorts. On Disney’s official blog, Public Relations Director George Savvas released some details about the upcoming parks, including a teaser video showing some familiar vehicles being constructed. Check out the video below:

In addition to the AT-ATs being built, Savvas had some details about the signature attractions guests can expect to see at the parks. He explains:

“We’re also creating two incredible new signature attractions: one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.”

Savvas mentions a 14-acre construction site, and past posts have mentioned a full-sized Millennium Falcon and a fully-stocked Mos Eisley cantina. Hopefully, park guests will be able to trade insults with Greedo and try to outdraw him as well.

Let’s trip up some of these bad boys while we’re at it.

Both Star Wars theme parks are expected to open in 2019. Judging from how the film schedules have worked out so far, the park should be open when Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters. Here’s hoping the parks contain a solid tribute to the late, great Carrie Fisher.

What do you most want to see at the Star Wars theme parks? Will they convince you to shell out the cash for Walt Disney World when they finally open? Let us know in the comments below.
