Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s most recent Star Path has come a close, and they’re already teasing the next one – but they’re not exactly being straightforward. Rather than simply announcing the next Star Path with rewards or coming forward with the name, the game’s official Twitter account has shared a collection of cryptic emojis and asked fans to guess. There are six emojis to guess from, and while some might be easy to decipher, others are a little more tricky. And there’s no telling when the next Star Path is going to arrive, so will fans be able to decode Disney Dreamlight Valley’s message before then?
When it comes to guessing Star Path themes, it’s important to know that most Star Paths are themed around a character, season, or idea. The most recent Star Path, “A Day at Disney,” came with the “Thrills and Frills” update and, as the name implied, had rewards themed toward a classic day at a Disney park. Star Path rewards included furniture themed after popular Disney rides, Magic Bands for your avatar to wear, and a popcorn-selling squirrel companion. Before that, it was the “Lovely Monsters” Star Path, which blended Monsters Inc. and Valentine’s Day.
This time, the theme of the next Star Path is being left up to emojis. Six emojis have been shared in three pairs, and each pair has something to reveal about the new Star Path theme. Here are my best guesses:
- Blue shirt/cricket: My best guess is either Pinocchio or Mulan, based on the cricket. Pinocchio’s Jiminy Cricket is by far the most famous Disney cricket, and a Pinocchio-themed Star Path would be a very cool thing to see since Disney Dreamlight Valley hasn’t done much with the boy puppet yet. On the other hand, there’s also Cri-Kee from Mulan, which might make more sense when taken in context with some of the other emojis.
- Boy/Fan: These two emojis fit better with Mulan since the whole point of the movie is Mulan pretending to be a man. There’s also a scene at the end of the movie where Mulan defeats the big bad, Shan Yu, by using a fan to beat him in a fight. It’s a great scene from a classic Disney movie, and according to the game’s roadmaps, there’s a Mulan update not far down the road.
- Two Kites: This batch of emojis is probably the hardest to decipher since there aren’t a ton of Disney movies that focus specifically on kites. Some fans in the comments guessed Mary Poppins, which would certainly be a nice addition to Disney Dreamlight Valley, especially for clothing and accessory items. Other guesses might include Up, though that’s already been in a Star Path before, and Winnie the Pooh, which would be another welcome addition to any valley.
Unfortunately, there’s no official news on when the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update is supposed to drop and bring the next Star Path with it. Hopefully, we’ll get some kind of official confirmation on the Star Path theme before it arrives, so be sure to stay tuned to the official Disney Dreamlight Valley social media pages until then.
