Since that time, Mueller has been questioned and had her property seized as authorities look into her possible involvement. Now, Sheen’s lawyer is speaking out about the situation.

Sadly, Perry’s life tragically ended after years of working to get sober. Perry and Mueller reportedly met while they were in rehab and struck up a friendship. Now that friendship is under the spotlight. However, Sheen’s lawyer is speaking out, and appears to be defending Mueller amid the rumors and allegations that are circulating online, per In Touch Weekly.

Charlie Sheen’s Lawyer Makes a Statement About Brooke Mueller’s Involvement in Matthew Perry’s Death Investigation

“This extended family has worked hard to restore serenity to their ecosystem – to the great benefit of their children, attorney Gergory J. Pedrick says.

“I believe Ms. Mueller’s past choices may have put her in a position to provide some incidental, anecdotal background to the authorities investigating Mr. Perry’s death. Nothing more,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mueller is said to be cooperative amid the investigation. She’s reportedly been questioned multiple times and has hired lawyers to help navigate the situation. However, she is proclaiming that she had nothing to do with Perry’s death.

For his part, Sheen — who guest starred on Friends alongside Perry — previously stated his heartbreak and regret over the actor’s shocking death.

“I felt something… when he died about, wow, you could easily be reading about me instead. That was really sad,” Sheen told Deadline. “I can relate to so much of it because I was reliving or I was experiencing it with him.”

Brooke Mueller has yet to speak out publicly since being revealed as a person of interest for the police in Matthew Perry’s death. Charlie Sheen has also stayed quiet on the situation. Meanwhile, Mueller may not be the only person who finds themselves in hot water due to Perry’s passing.
