Christina Hall is going through the pain of another divorce. There are also some logistical pains, however, that are undoubtedly adding to her stress. Earlier this summer, Christina Hall began sharing teasers for her new show, The Flip Off. The raunchy ads teasing the action heavily featured Christina and Heather Rae El Moussa.
Heather is the current wife of Christina’s ex, Tarek El Moussa. The social media teasers poked fun at an alleged rivalry between the two women. Their cheeky participation was meant to clear the possibility of lingering bad blood between the three.
This also served to introduce the premise of The Flip Off. Tarek and Heather would challenge Christina and their husband, Josh Hall. The goal was to “see who can find, buy, renovate, and flip a house for the biggest financial gain and the chance at bragging rights,” per Entertainment Tonight.
At the time, no one questioned Josh’s absence from the promos, which poked fun at the drama that happened before he entered Christina’s life. Now, however, it seems like a risk the three took on him coming around amid rumors of contentious times between Christina and Josh before the split.
The HGTV Star’s Divorce News Broke This Week
On July 15, TMZ revealed that Josh Hall and Christina Hall had filed for divorce in different filings the week before. Both parties cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, with Josh saying the two called it quits earlier this month.
In his filing, Josh asks to be granted all rights to HGTV or Discovery Network shows or specials produced during the marriage. This is significant because of The Flip Off.
Josh and Christina were married in October 2021, per documents. That puts the timeline of their relationships months earlier than what the public previously knew. Christina had only just announced their engagement in November 2021. They celebrated with a wedding in September 2022.
This came after the finalization of her divorce from Ant Anstead in June 2021. Christina and Ant were married from September 2018 to November 2020 and share son Hudson (4). Prior to that, Christina was married to Tarek from September 2009 to January 2017. They share son Brayden (8) and daughter Taylor (13).
Sources Say the Show Only Just Started Filming
The early promos also seemed odd. The Flip Off, which currently doesn’t have any details available on IMDb, isn’t set to debut until 2025. As sources tell Entertainment Tonight, the series has only just begun production.
The source adds the production team is “figuring out what the plan is moving forward.” There are no certainties at this time. The network and Christina herself have yet to comment on the situation.
