Warframe has once again introduced a new and sizzling Deluxe Skin in its ever-growing roster of Fashion Frame options. The Ember Heirloom skin has proven to be quite popular for many reasons– one of which is that it’s part of the rare Heirloom skin collection. Despite the premium tag, the Ember Heirloom is actually one of the more common items in the collection. Here’s how to get some of the Heirloom skins in Warframe.
How to Get the Ember Heirloom Skin
You can purchase the new Ember Heirloom Skin either on the official Warframe website or in the in-game store. The Ember Heirloom package contains the following:
Ember Heirloom Skin | Ember Heirloom Sigil |
Ember Heirloom Signa | Ember Heirloom Color Palette |
Ember Heirloom Glyph | Ember Heirloom Prex |
For the website purchase, you have a couple of options:
- Buy the whole set using real money (price varies per region). This option includes 400 Platinum on top of the Ember Heirloom Collection.
- Purchase the set using Platinum (through your official Warframe website account.
Additionally, you can simply log into the game for more granular purchase options. The in-game store also prices the whole Ember Heirloom package at 400 Platinum. The big difference with the in-game store purchase is that you can buy the specific contents of the package if you only want the actual skin or the color palette.
The skin, for example, only costs 225 Platinum on its own, while the color palette only runs for 80 Platinum. I recommend buying through the in-game store if you want to save up Platinum. Don’t worry as the Ember Heirloom Skin is here to stay for good.
How to Get the Frost and Mag Heirloom Skin
In the previous TennoCons, the Frost and Mag Heirloom Skins were introduced. You might be wondering how to acquire those. Sadly, those two won’t be coming back.
The Frost and Mag Heirloom Skins are now legacy skins. It’s highly likely that the developers won’t be bringing them back or making them available for other players lest they face legal trouble.
That’s because the Frost and Mag Heirloom Skins were sold in the previous TennoCon under the promise that they wouldn’t be available anywhere else or permanently for other players. So the Frost and Mag Heirloom Skins aren’t just vaulted; they’re not coming back.
The Ember Heirloom package is simply the first of permanently available Heirloom Skins. The Heirloom Collection for Warframe appears to be an ongoing series and there will probably be more Heirloom Skins introduced in the near future for other Warframes.
