Congrats are in order for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. No, they haven’t gotten engaged (yet). However, they did just celebrate another major milestone as a couple.
As many fans have noticed, their love story began exactly one year ago. On July 26, 2023, Travis and Jason Kelce dropped their iconic New Heights podcast in which the Kansas City Chiefs star revealed his crush on the singer for the first time.
During the episode, Travis recalled trying to shoot his shot with Swift at one of her concerts a few weeks prior. Since she was performing two back-to-back concerts in Kansas City as part of her Eras Tour, Travis decided to attend her second show in hopes of meeting her. He wanted to give the songstress a friendship bracelet with his phone number.
If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.
However, his plan fell through after hearing Swift wouldn’t be available. According to the NFL star, Swift couldn’t talk to him since she had to preserve her voice for her concert. “I was disappointed,” Travis admitted after hearing Swift declined his invite.
Soon afterward, fans began pairing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce together since the singer was newly single following her breakup with Joe Alwyn. Since the football player’s comments went viral, Swift, of course, caught wind of Travis’ crush on her. Eventually, they began talking and later became a couple.
Fans assumed they met for the first time when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023. However, during an interview with Rolling Stone last December, Swift revealed she and Travis were in a relationship before then.
That means Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s anniversary falls sometime in August or early September. Fans can’t wait for them to celebrate that milestone as well very soon.
