Elle King is the daughter of actor Rob Schneider. While you may have thought her childhood was one of privilege, she has recently detailed her experience and how some aspects of it were completely toxic. In an interview on Bunnie XO’s podcast, Dumb Blonde, King recalled how she was once shipped to a fat camp.
“I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp,” she shared. “And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle, and I didn’t lose any weight. Very toxic and very silly.”
Elle King Shares Her Childhood Experiences
Elle King is the daughter of Rob Schneider and model London King, and she has a complicated relationship with her father. “If I would ever spend a summer with my dad it would be on a movie set,” she said. “I would just get lost in the shuffle. If I ever messed up a shot, if I ever was talking, I would get in f***ing trouble.”
Her memories hardly paint the picture of an idyllic childhood and some people may be surprised to learn of how hands-off her father was. King claimed they went “four or five years” without speaking (although they are trying to work on their relationship now). “I disagree with a lot of the things that he says,” she said. “You’re talking out of your a** and you’re talking s*** about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights and it’s like get f****d. He’s just talking out of his a** and I want to use this opportunity to say that I disagree. I do not agree with what he says.”
And if you think she is a nepo baby, you would be wrong! King claims she never got help from her dad, nor did she want it. “He also didn’t have a very good reputation. I don’t want to be associated with him,” she claims.
The interview was shared on TikTok, and there has been a strong fan reaction to it, with many people claiming they are no longer fans of Schneider but also praising King for being awesome.
