Call of Duty‘s official page on YouTube and X has something new for us regarding Black Ops 6 Zombies, as we get to know more about Terminus Island. Described as one of the biggest Round-Based Zombies maps ever, Terminus Island is further showcased in a trailer to familiarize us with the undead atmosphere of this hellish prison. Big threats are teased, a new weapon is shown, and we’ve got our first look at the Black Ops 6 Zombies HUD in this brand-new trailer.
The biggest intel drop we get from this video is that Terminus Island is separated into two big parts: Jail, and Research Facility. “Everything is dark and moody” which is a love letter to all the OG Zombies fans that were buying doors and surviving rounds in Der Riese.
The atmosphere of Terminus Island certainly does fit the round-based Zombies, as it is teased that this is one of the biggest maps ever. There are plenty of places to explore, and we’ve never been able to dive into the water and escape the zombies in a motorboat on a round-based Zombies map. Spoilers! There are giant creatures inside the sea that are yet to be fully revealed.
Aside from that, the new Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus Island trailer also teases the return of a Cold War weapon, the Bullfrog. It looks like the PP90 Bizon, and we already have a version of it in our MW2 arsenal called the Minibak. But the iron sight looks different, and since it’s a Black Ops 6 weapon, it’d certainly be much more powerful than Minibak and many other MW2 and MW3 SMGs.
Last but not least, we’ve got our first look at the full Black Ops 6 Zombies HUD here, which we actually had seen a glimpse of in the Call of Duty blog post with the image above. But one thing that isn’t shown up there is that the points gained by killing zombies are still appearing at the center of the screen, just like we had in Black Ops Cold War, MWZ, and Vanguard.
So overall, this is a perfect setup for Treyarch to win back all the OG Zombies fans back to their game to enjoy the classic round-based experience. And what better place to do that than an abandoned island directly tied to Edward Richtofen’s research in the middle of nowhere?
