Anyone who’s played the main story of Sword of Convallaria has likely fallen in love with Edda, who, you guessed it, is getting her banner. With a heroic and lovable personality, many Voyagers might want to add her to their roster quickly. However, is she worth pulling for? With Gloria being one of the first Watchers in the game and Edda belonging to that same role, should you use your currency to get this rebellious leader or skip her banner, hoping for a better character?
Edda Skills and Gameplay Explained
As we mentioned, Edda belongs to the Watcher role, which usually includes healers and buffers; she belongs to the latter. Contrary to Gloria, who packs a punch while also providing allies with buffs through her banners, Edda takes a more hands-on approach and brings NRG restoration skills and some ATK, M.DEF, and Movement buffs. Furthermore, according to the official description of some of her skills, she can even move after attacking if there’s an item next to her, which is great for certain stages. Lastly, she can perform follow-up attacks if she’s close enough to an attacking ally, which is ideal if you want more DPS per round.
Should You Pull For Edda?
In short, yes. Edda’s banner might be one of the best for beginners in Sword of Convallaria and a character that might become future-proof. She has many skills that benefit certain characters, such as ranged attackers who use her boxes to get a highland advantage. Plus, the buffs she brings are extremely useful for most units. However, looking at her abilities, she’ll likely synergize better with Destroyers or units that need a lot of NRG. Since she can restore this resource, you can keep her close to a character such as Beryl and keep those skill points up to spam skills throughout the fight. So, if you have the currency and want an excellent buffer for your team, you should watch out for Edda’s banner and pull for her. She’s a terrific Watcher, even if you only have her at Tier 0.
