Former Saturday Night Live alum Victoria Jackson has always been known as a strong woman and a fighter. Throughout her life, the comedienne has shared many personal details regarding her life and her health. However, her most recent health update has left her fans devastated.
Earlier this week, Victoria Jackson took to Instagram to share a very sad update with her followers. On Wednesday, August 14, the SNL star uploaded a video message to her social media page. It was entitled, Is the Cancer Back?
In the past, Victoria has shared about her battle with breast cancer and being a survivor. Jackson was first diagnosed with cancer in 2016 and bravely and openly shared the details of her fight.
In a detailed account and message to her fans, Victoria reveals that she is now facing a new fight with the disease, one that she says she will not survive.
She bravely shares the details of her sad story. “They cannot operate and cut out the marble in my chest that is laying on my windpipe and eventually would suffocate me to death. They’re giving me a magic pill,” meant to “shrink” the “marble.”
Despite following her doctor’s orders and undergoing all possible medical procedures, Victoria Jackson explains that her prognosis is grim. She reveals that despite taking the drug, it is not a cure, and people ingesting the medication typically only live 32.6 months, or something like that.” She next revealed that she has less than three years to live.
Victoria Jackson Admits She Has Accepted Her Fate
The actress and comedienne admits that she has accepted her fate and reveals some interesting things since her cancer diagnosis. In her video, Victoria shares a recent encounter with god.
In her new video, she recalled having the “weirdest thing” happen to her when she was in bed on a recent night and thought she “heard God say, ‘Ready to come home?'”
“And he didn’t say it like, ‘You’re coming home now.’ He just kind of said it like we were hanging out,” Jackson noted.
Victoria Jackson claims that she is not letting her situation get her down. She says she has good things coming in her life. She says she has a grandson who will arrive in October and hopes to see her daughter have a baby.
“You know, we’re all dying,” Jackson continued, “but when you kind of see in print you have 32.6 months, it makes you think.” Victoria continues to take inventory of her life; however, she reveals that when she thinks about it all, she “wouldn’t change anything.”
Victoria’s fans continue to flood her Instagram with words of love and inspiration. Jackson says she has had a fantastic life. She plans to continue sharing her journey to offer support to others who are fighting similar battles.
