Emma Watson had fans on her side back in 2013, when photos showing her in a wowing Met Gala dress sparked suggestions that she wasn’t “comfortable.” Highlighting her stunning figure for the annual, NYC-held event that year, the 34-year-old displayed her toned figure in a segmented, cut-out black dress and heels, but for many, something just wasn’t right.
Looking sensational in a figure-flaunting dress as she graced the Met Gala’s red carpet, Emma showed off her toned legs while flashing her abs, but with a long train to handle and a photo showing her struggling, fans took pity on the Harry Potter star. Comments on The Daily Mail largely steered clear of shaming, but many did seem to think that Emma quite simply didn’t look like she was having a good time.
Emma Watson Stuns In Met Gala Dress
Choosing a custom-made number from designer Prabal Gurung, Emma dazzled in a one-shouldered dress with a thigh-skimming front and long train at the back.
Flaunting her petite frame as she rocked an asymmetric crop top and matching skirt, the British sensation drew the eye from her slender shoulders to her flat stomach, with the super-short front also highlighting her toned legs. Elevating her style with a black pair of strappy heels, Emma wore her hair swept up, also looking drop-dead gorgeous in sparkly drop earrings.
Smiling in some photos as she wore a full face of blush-heavy makeup, Emma easily won the style race for the night, but fans in the comments weren’t convinced.
Fans Thinking She Doesn’t Look ‘Comfortable’
Shooting to the top of the comments with over 500 upvotes was a user saying: “She’s so pretty but that dress doesn’t work and you can tell she’s not very comfortable.”
Echoing the thought, another wrote: “Gorgeous girl, but she does not look comfortable in that dress!” The sentiment also manifested from a user who replied:
“She looks lovely, but the look on her face says, I look great but it’s a bit like playing dress up, I could be doing better things.”
Emma now gets paid to play dress-up. Having fronted designer Burberry, the actress moved on to Italian brand Prada in 2022, landing herself an ambassador status with the company’s Beauty division. Emma is now signed to both Prada Paradoxe’s fragrance and Prada Beauty. She dedicates the majority of her social media posts to the iconic label.
Emma did seem to have wans loving her, but not that dress. Also commenting was a user stating: “I love Emma, but the same can’t be said for this dress…”
