Rocket League has been tearing up Xbox One, PS4, and PC for a while and now Nintendo fans will get their chance to play the race car soccer – and hockey, basketball etc. – simulator on their Switch.

Fans have clamored for the ability to play the game on the portable console andย Nintendo listened, as they announced during E3 2017 Spotlight Direct video they’d be partnering up with Psyonix to bring Rocket League to the console later this year.

The upcoming port will feature all the same content you know and love from the original game including exclusive Battle-Cars and Customization Items, like Mario and Luigi hat Toppers. Rocket League will also be supported in each of Nintendo Switch’s many playย modes, including TV Mode (docked), Tabletop Mode, Handheld Mode, and both Online and Local Multiplayer.

Online Multiplayer will support up to eight players, allowing for endless possibilitiesย for places to play against your friends. Cross-Network play will also be featured in Nintendo’s Rocket League, allowing Switch players to compete against their friends on Steam and Xbox One.

Rocket League for the Switch has a tentative release date of the upcoming holiday season, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates. Don’t forget to check out the trailer above too, and stay tuned to the site for all of your other E3 2017 Nintendo conference coverage throughout the day.
