Hulu struck gold with their new series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It’s like the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, except these ladies are massive TikTok stars. Also, they seem to have more drama as a group since some of them used to be swinging partners.
But that’s not the biggest scandal at the moment. One of the cast members, Jen Affleck, is married to Zac Affleck, who revealed on the show that their distant cousin is the famous actor Ben Affleck. The producers and editors leaned into this by calling Jen by her full name whenever they could.
However, one of the show’s stars, Jessi Ngatikaura, thinks it’s possible that Jen’s husband lied. “I don’t know if this is true,” she told Scheana Shay on her podcast, Scheananigans. “But I will say that I could see a world where Zac told her that, and she believed it because why wouldn’t you?”

It’s understandable why Jessi Ngatikaura may think Zac wasn’t completely honest about his family’s relationship with Ben Affleck. In an interview with Us Weekly, Jen said the two have never been in the same room with each other. “We’ve never met him,” she said. “Hopefully we meet him sometime soon because we are family.”
If it’s revealed that the Hulu stars are not related to Ben Affleck, it will certainly cause some commotion among the show’s fans.
Zac has already faced a lot of heat online due to his portrayal on the small screen. The most explosive moment between the married couple occurred when they traveled to Las Vegas with the cast. As the men went out to gamble, the women went to see the Chippendales. Once Zac learned of his wife’s plans, he blew up, saying terrible things to her via text.
After people voiced their disapproval of him online, Jen posted a photo on Instagram, praising Zac for being a hard worker and devoted husband and father.
“Have there been moments when we wanted to walk away? Of course,” she wrote. “But there’s so much more to our marriage and what we offer to each other than people realize.”
