From Saw to Scream and beyond, Dead by Daylight is home to killers as sneaky as they are lethal. No one likes getting chainsawed and hooked, but there’s something even worse about getting stalked by a Shape working his way to Tier 3. Whether it’s the goofy peeking antics of Ghost Face or something more sinister, stealth killers continue to deliver some of the game’s most fun and unpredictable moments. Even when struggling against SWF teams and comp survivors, creeping in the Fog has never been so fun. Here are five of the best stealth killers in Dead by Daylight, in no particular order.
The Pig
- Movement Speed: 115%
- Terror Radius: 32m
- Height: Average
Jigsaw’s Baptism is far from the strongest power in the game, but Reverse Bear Traps equal free slowdown. Playing Pig as a pure stealth killer by crouching everywhere and hoping to get gen grabs is a recipe for disaster, however. Wise Pig players dip in and out of stealth as necessary, walking normally to preserve their speed but then entering stealth mode for an Ambush Dash when it really counts. It still beats Myers, so that’s something.
The Wraith
- Movement Speed: 115%
- Terror Radius: 32m
- Height: Tall
The Wraith can turn invisible and increase his speed with a ring of the Wailing Bell. Being a fast killer with good stealth makes Wraith a pub stomper, but as a pure M1 (basic attack) killer, he struggles at higher levels. You might need some powerful regression and stall perks to make the most of Philip Ojomo, but if you can, survivors will never hear you coming. Toss in a Coxcombed Clapper for total silence and extra spice.
The Onryo
- Movement Speed: 115%
- Terror Radius: 24m
- Height: Short
Sadako’s strength has yo-yoed across various updates. Although she’s no longer the Free Mori monster that old Condemned Sadako was, she remains deadly, especially when underestimated. With a complicated kit granting her invisibility, teleportation, and a unique Curse mechanic, Sadako’s far from the easiest stealth killer to master. Put in the work, however, and this Ring villain won’t disappoint.
The Ghost Face
- Movement Speed: 115%
- Terror Radius: 32m
- Height: Average
Ghost Face is way more than just Crouching Myers. Without needing to tier up the way The Shape does, Ghost Face can stalk individual survivors at his leisure. His Peek mechanic also makes him harder to spot than Myers. If you can land some Exposed hits without getting too bogged down by windows and ballets, Scream‘s bloody baddie can cause a lot of damage. He also has one of the best Moris in the game, for what that’s worth.
The Good Guy
- Movement Speed: 110%
- Terror Radius: 32m
- Height: Short
Escaping Chucky is anything but child’s play. He’s not only one of the strongest stealth killers but also one of the strongest killers overall. Though he can’t compete with the raw aggression of Nurse and Blight, avoiding The Good Guy is a bigger nightmare than Freddy.
Entering Hidey-Ho Mode grants Chucky Undetectable and creates illusory footfalls to fool survivors. Toss in third-person, Slice & Dice, and the ability to Scamper beneath pallets for free hits and you have one of the most best and oppressive stealth killers in Dead by Daylight. Just don’t expect happy survivors in end game chat.
