Stardew Valley is Finished After 8 Years, Solo Creator ‘Finally Got 100% Achievements’

We should all strive to be concerned apes

Stardew Valley is a gift that keeps on giving and its solo developer, Eric Barone aka ConcernedApe ensured that with free content updates. That’s also one of the reasons why it was such a hard game to complete 100 percent (100% Achievements). Basically, you never run out of things to do. Even Barone himself has admitted that he only achieved 100 percent on the game just now — eight years after he released Stardew Valley.

Eric Barone revealed this noteworthy achievement on Twitter/X recently:

In the replies, he even talked about Stardew Valley‘s developer (himself) patting him on the back for finishing the game 100 percent. So out came the memes with Barone giving himself a medal and much other humorous banter.

In case you were also wondering, Barone was insistent on finishing his own game legitimately, staying away from cheese tactics discovered by other players. In one of his replies, he even claimed that he finished one of the hardest challenges in Stardew Valley with a legitimate no-death run.

That challenge would be Fector’s Challenge, which only 1.2% of the Stardew Valley Steam players have accomplished. Finishing Fector’s Challenge would then unlock the rarest Steam Achievement, ‘Perfection,’ requiring players to do everything available in the game. Only 1% of all Steam players of Stardew Valley have achieved this ‘100 Percent Achievements’ trophy and Barone is now among them.

Others have congratulated Barone’s achievements, adding that some of them have 800+ hours and still find it hard to ‘100%’ the game.

To that, Barone offered some tips for players, stating that they need money to beat the hardest challenge in the game. It’s worth noting that Fector’s Challenge is not about farming but something more akin to a level in Super Mario or a twin-stick shooter.
