When Roblox isn’t working, you’ll usually get an error code, and in this case, it’s Error Code 0. Fixing it could end up being pretty easy or it’ll end up being tedious. And worst case scenario, you might be waiting for a bit. In this case, it’s a connection issue, but not necessarily on your end. The good news is that there are several ways to troubleshoot Error Code 0 in Roblox.
Double-Check Roblox’s Servers are Up and Running
Before you do any troubleshooting, you can potentially save yourself a lot of time by first checking in with Roblox’s servers. If they’re down, then you’ve pinpointed the problem and will have to wait.
Luckily, Roblox has an official server status page that gives you a breakdown of any problems, recent or otherwise. However, it takes time for updates to appear, so if you’re experiencing issues, also give DownDetector a look.
Restart Your Modem and Router
Since Error Code 0 usually refers to a connection problem with Roblox, a simple and easy solution is to give your modem and or router a reboot.
Additionally, if you’re a child, it’s best to get Mom and Dad involved to do the following:
- Unplug the modem and router.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug the modem and router back in.
This method dumps any packets that may have been corrupted, causing the connection strength to degrade over time. It’s a good idea to do this every now and then!
Clear the Roblox Cache Folder to Fix Error Code 0
If that doesn’t work, then let’s move onto the cache folder. And again, if you’re a child, Mom and Dad should assist you with this:
- Open Run. Either search for it or press Windows + R.
- In the search field, type C:\Users\yourname\AppData, but replace “yourname” with your user account name. Mine is Brady, so it appears as C:\Users\Brady\AppData
- Click OK, then open Local. Locate the Roblox folder and delete it.
Similar to the modem, Roblox errors can pile up, resulting in even more errors and eventually Error Code 0. Give Roblox a reboot and see how it pans out.
Disable Your VPN
One rather annoying problem is that sometimes Roblox and VPNs clash. If you use a VPN yourself, it could be interfering with the game. Try disabling it!
VPNs like SurfShark and NordVPN have a dedicated button in the hub that lets you disable and enable the service at a moment’s notice.
Reinstall Roblox to Fix Error Code 0
When all else fails, reinstalling Roblox should be your last ditch effort. Depending on your platform, you can uninstall the game by:
- On Windows, search for Roblox, right-click and choose Uninstall.
- On Mac, you’ll find Roblox in the Applications folder. Drag it into Trash and empty it.
- On Android and iOS, you can install the Roblox app from their respective settings menu.
With a clean slate, go ahead and install Roblox and (hopefully), Error Code 0 will be banished!
