U.K publisher nDreams and top VR developer Paw Print Games revealed that their E3 award-winning co-op brawler Bloody Zombies will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR this fall.

Bloody Zombies has players take the reigns of four rough-and-tough cockney misfits who are tasked with working together to take down the hordes of zombies that have taken over London. Like most brawlers, the game’s focus is on easily accessible moves, deep freeform combat, and brutal chainable combos.

As the game progresses special moves and unique melee weapons can be unlocked and discovered in order to expand zombie-slaying abilities. Virtual Reality offers players an enhanced viewpoint, with the means of showing off in-game secrets, provide tactical support, and conquer obstacles using a unique diorama view.

David Corless, VP of Publishing for nDreams detailed how Bloody Zombies combines old school and new to create a unique experience.

“Bloody Zombies is a classic co-op brawler but with a new twist where VR players and non-VR players can battle the undead together, either online or couch co-op,” He stated in a press release. “Think Streets of Rage and Castle Crashers on amphetamines, throw in some friends, add in the unique viewpoint when playing in VR and Bloody Zombies is like no other game out there!”

Bloody Zombies certainly has the look and feel of an old school arcade brawler, displayed by the hand-animated, flash style animations. It should be interesting to see just how the VR elements do affect the gameplay and if it can coincide with the games brawler animated style.

Bloody Zombies will be released later this year on September 12th, 2017, for the price of $14.99. For a more in depth look into the game, be sure to check out our sites official hands on impressions, written by Tori Morrow.
