If that means lugging around a bucket of paint and sprinting to a matching wall when monsters approach, so be it. Color or Die Halloween Hunt
While other games host the Haunt’s photo competition, Color or Die is doubling down on what it does best for Halloween. That’s hiding from monsters. Color or Die is like a twisted cross between Musical Chairs and Hide and Seek. You’re trapped somewhere scary with a monster, and the only way to hide is to blend in with the surrounding walls. Do so successfully and you’ll earn the candies you need to unlock some unique Halloween cosmetics. Here’s what you need to do:
- Only hide next to walls that match the color you’re painted
- If you hear the monster alert, get to a safe wall immediately and stand still
- Keep an eye out for useful items and collectibles
- Use tools to access grates and other areas
- Escape through the door that matches your paint color
If you’re slow and careful, navigating the maps safely isn’t too difficult. Rushing and losing focus are the easiest ways to get gobbled by a ghoulie, so take your time. You can also click on the event icon (the pumpkin) to see the list of current Haunt event quests, in case you lose track. Opening 25 doors and opening the White Door can take a while, so the best way to grind the Color or Die Halloween event is just to play. Do that, and surviving will be as easy as paint by numbers.
