The inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette wrapped up on Wednesday, November 13. Viewers were glued to their televisions to see who Joan Vassos chose to be with. Now that fans know Vassos wound up with Chock Chapple, many people are wondering what has unfolded with the couple since filming the show.
Joan & Chock Will Return to Where Their Love Story Started
It seems like Joan Vassos has found her happily ever after, which is great news for fans. Following the first season of The Golden Bachelor, many viewers were dismayed to find out that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist wound up going their separate ways. Although they seemed happy together, Turner and Nist couldn’t come to agreeable terms on merging their households. Ultimately, they came to the decision that it would be best for them to put an end to their relationship.
However, there is still hope for older bachelors and bachelorettes. The latest spin-off of the Bachelor franchise, The Golden Bachelorette, showed Joan Vassos searching for love among 24 men. Vassos was a cast member on The Golden Bachelor and many people were excited to see the 61-year-old school administrator find love.
During the November 13 episode, fans finally got to see Vassos choose her man, Chock Chapple. Chapple was a favorite pick from the very beginning, with viewers seeing the chemistry between the two during their first date. Vassos shared that she felt the same way, stating that she started envisioning a future together after their first date at Disneyland.
Jesse Palmer surprised the couple with tickets so that they and their families could visit Disneyland together.
Has Joan Vassos Gotten Married Yet?
After seeing what happened with the Golden Bachelor couple, many people are wondering if Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are still together. The answer is yes! They are still happily together. They’ve been taking time to get to know each other’s families.
“This feels so good,” Vassos stated in an interview with Palmer. “I’m looking at our family and friends, who we’ve never gotten to be with together, so it’s so nice to finally be able to share our love and our story and our future with them.”
Chapple shared her sentiment, “I couldn’t be happier and I want the world to know it. I want to tell the world, the fans, how classy Joan is and the respect she gave all the other guys.”
Since becoming engaged on the ABC show, Vassos and Chapple have been spending time together out of the spotlight. Chock Chapple said that they’ve cooked together, done crossword puzzles, and everything in between.
That said, there aren’t any wedding plans for Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple… yet. In an interview on Good Morning America, Vassos said that she wanted to enjoy a little bit of normalcy before jumping into wedding planning.
“She’s going to marry me … it’s just a matter of time,” Chapple said. His soon-to-be bride replied, “I am.”
Fans can only hope that this Golden Bachelorette love story turns out better than Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist’s romance.
