I have no knowledge of many events, festivals, and parades across the country. Sure, I’ve heard of them before, but most of them I’ve never actually attended. That being said, I can say that this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a Flying Golf Cart Parade. After seeing a video posted to TikTok of one having gone horribly wrong, I can confidently say that I still have no idea what a Flying Golf Cart Parade is.
The TikTok video is from the point of view of someone in attendance at a Flying Golf Cart Parade taking place in a rural neighborhood. The parade traditionally consists of local golf players decorating their golf carts and parading around the neighborhood. In the video, two golf carts bearing blue and yellow colors charge at each other head-on. At the last moment, the two carts swerve out of the way, narrowly missing each other. However, the next set of golf carts attempting to do the same weren’t so lucky.
At the moment when the two carts were about to collide, instead of swerving out of the way, they hit each other head-on. The collision had enough force to knock the driver of the nearest golf cart completely through the windshield, hitting the other cart. Commenters were quick to point out everything wrong with the video from the incident itself to why the parade was handled the way that it was.
“Doesn’t a parade usually go in one direction?”
Unfortunately, it looks like the driver ejected from his cart was injured. However, it’s unclear just how much of an injury he suffered, especially considering that there’s a moment where he tightly grips onto his head. But, as some of the comments suggest, he did go flying at the Flying Golf Cart Parade.
“I can see why it’s called the Flying Golf Cart Parade because homieee went flyingggggg”
Hopefully, they’ll choose to be a little more careful the next time they decide to host such a dangerous a event.
