Out of all the soulslike we’ve had in the past years, Lords of the Fallen has always stood as one of the most original and intricate in the market. Yet, it wasn’t without its faults, at least when it launched. Performance issues, crashes on consoles, and other problems plagued what could’ve been a great initial experience. Fortunately, just like the players facing the same boss repeatedly, HEXWORKS and CI Games kept updating Lords of the Fallen to the point that it has finally reached Very Positive reviews on Steam.
Lords of the Fallen Reaches Very Positive Reviews on Steam
Recently, Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, published how Lords of the Fallen finally achieved Very Positive on Steam reviews. This is a huge feat, as the game stayed on Mixed for a lot of months before moving to the Mostly Positive limbo. Thankfully, it seems the players’ feelings toward this game have finally changed due to all recent updates, and according to Marek Tyminski, they don’t plan on slowing down on improvements.
In the above post, Tyminski also mentions that of those three languages, Simplified Chinese is the one that’s been dragging the overall Steam user score down more than the others. While there still seems to be some work in the future for Lords of the Fallen, many believe the studio has earned a well-deserved breather for the time being.
If you haven’t tried the game, Lords of the Fallen got its 1.7 Update on December 12, 2024. This update brought improvements to a character’s handling and responsiveness. In addition, the developers worked on improving the rolling distance and dodge animation and even tweaked the stamina for a bit. This patch also brought changes to the new player experience and NG+, which the community was asking for. So, for those future lampbearers, this is the perfect time to jump into the game.
