As we have reported earlier, it has been more than a year ever since Rockstar Games revealed anything substantial about GTA 6. Now that we’re in the very same month when the first GTA 6 trailer was released last year, fans are itching for more updates. So far Rockstar has been silent, but the expectation (or dare I say delusion) rages on for GTA fans; now they’re starting to see signs and teasers with every action from Rockstar Games.
Recently, Rockstar Games has been giving gifts to its employees and their most notable present was a black weather with the “Rockstar Games” logo on it. However, the sweater’s font’s color was in the style and hue of Vice City in GTA 6 which is pink with shades of sunset.
Alongside the sweater, Rockstar employees have also been posting a wrapped gift from Rockstar Games. Again, the rather excited GTA 6 fans have taken this as a sign that maybe Rockstar is planning something secret. It just so happens that there’s a note in one of the employees’ posts with the number “1227,” and sure enough, some GTA 6 fans have taken this as a sign that Rockstar is planning something for GTA 6 on December 27, 2024. Here’s the whole thread:
The Signs, They’re Everywhere!
Outside of Reddit, Twitter or X users are also chiming in with their own theories because, again, several employees have been posting the same image.
Of course, some of these are jokes since the GTA 6 reveal drought has been too long and people will take anything they can at this point. However, some are hopeful and others have stated that Rockstar teasing or subliminally announcing a trailer one week before they release it is not too far-fetched.
It was, after all, somewhat suspicious that Rockstar would give a handful of random employees some gifts and ask them to post them on social media simultaneously. Rockstar Games is also known for being highly secretive.
So take it as you will. Perhaps it’s a sign of a GTA 6 trailer before the end of the year, or perhaps we’re all just seeing what we want to see. But with GTA 6 being the most anticipated game at the moment, it’s hard to blame the fans.
