Treyarch Brings Back ‘Fun’ To Black Ops 6 Zombies In An Unexpected Way

Please don’t nerf “fun” ever again

It’s not every day that you wake up and seeย Call of Dutyย devs talking to us in a blog post in a friendly manner, but Treyarch has managed to do just that! After the Jan 3ย Black Ops 6ย update, manyย of theย fans were too frustrated over the new bugs that haveย been addedย to the game, alongside the sudden nerfs of some gameplay elements like the Shadow Rift in Zombies.ย However, Treyarch has been overseeing these complaints from theย Call of Duty: Black Ops 6ย Zombies community, and the devs respondedย in an unbelievably great way.

In a post on X,ย Treyarch has addressedย the recent changes with the updates that “nerfed fun” and have reverted them in favor of the Zombies community. If you go over theย Call of Dutyย blog and read over theย Jan 9 patch notes, you’ll see that the devs have left friendly notes under each new segment, telling us how and why they’ve changed things and how they’re fixing the issues for the sake of a better game.

Hey everyone, weโ€™ve got a handful of Zombies updates live today. tl;dr, we are:

โ€ข Reverting changes from Jan. 3 that nerfed fun
โ€ข Giving Shadow Rift 4 new buffs
โ€ข Fixing some annoying leftover bugs
โ€ข Updating Dead Light Green Light in Weeks 2 & 3

Now, this is some next-level communication we never had fromย Call of Duty, and it feels like Kevin Drew, the Zombies master at Treyarch, is writing these small notes for the community.ย Thisย doesn’t solve everythingย that’sย wrong withย Call of Dutyย right now, but it’s a very positive change that’sย absolutelyย welcome.

Activision’s main problems have been not providing aย goodย anti-cheat system for the players and not caring about theย Black Ops 6ย andย Warzoneย servers and their issues.ย Soย while it’s good news that Treyarchย is caringย about theย Black Ops 6ย Zombies community, it leaves a bittersweet taste when we know a large portion of theย Call of Dutyย players are still unhappy with the game’s current circumstances.

Day after day, moreย Call of Dutyย players and streamers like Nadeshot and Scumpย areย leavingย the gameย until it’s fixed,ย which createsย a super negative reputation forย BO6ย andย Warzone.ย With cheaters swarming the Ranked lobbies and various bugs ruining the experience, our eyes are on the Jan 28ย Black Ops 6ย Season 2 update to change things for good.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
