Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 is probably a promised land for those looking for better servers and an anti-cheat fix, but Treyarch has recently announced the new Zombies map coming to this mode and fans are blown away. The Tomb is where we’re heading next, but it’s important to note that 4 key changes are coming to Black Ops 6 Zombies in Season 2 that’ll change the gameplay for the good.
All Key Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2 Gameplay Changes
According to Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 will implant a few changes accessible for both Zombies and the Multiplayer. Some of these should also be available for Warzone, so yes, we can finally track our camo grind in Plunder. Here are all the important updates coming in Season 2:
• Challenge Tracker in Zombies & MP
This is something that we already had in MW3 last year and I was so thankful for it. It allows the players to checkmark and keep track of unlocking camos, Calling Cards, and challenges in general. But this time around, Black Ops 6 allows you to track 10 camos and 10 Calling Card challenges as opposed to only 5 in total in MW3.
• Separate HUD Presets for Zombies & MP
This is how you used to get a messy HUD in MP just because you’ve changed some stuff for your Zombies experience. From Black Ops 6 Season 2 onwards, there will be 2 separate HUD presets for Zombies and MP so that you can change anything you like without having to revert it all for the other game mode.
• Co-op Pause
Just like I can’t believe we’re getting the DLC 2 Zombies map in Black Ops 6 Season 2, I can’t trust my eyes when I read Co-Op pause is being added to the game. This is a small change, really, but we’ve been asking for this feature for a very long time now. Accordingly, if you’re playing with your friends in the same lobby – not random teammates joined by Squad Fill – the party leader can pause the game for everyone. It’s assumed that you’ll have the same 15-minute timer from the Solo mode here as well. Wonder if they add Save and Quit for Co-Op in the future.
• AFK Kick Loadout Recovery
If you go AFK in Black Ops 6 Zombies or any other mode, the game will kick you; that’s for sure. But if you get back online and rejoin the game right now, it’ll mess with your items and loadout. Well, not anymore, as the Season 2 update will right this wrong.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 starts on January 28, 2025, and there will probably be a lot more smaller changes coming to the game with it. Since there’s a new map coming with this update, the download size is presumed to be around 30 GB, so, be ready for that.
