Roosterteeth Director Hints Twelve Little Roosters May be in Production

Roosterteeth has come a long way since starting its Machinima series Red vs Blue, creating multiple success YouTube Channels, shows, live action shorts, and even a feature film. One of the company’s directors, Josh Flanagan, may have just revealed the company is working on the next installment in the Little Roosters series.

Flanagan posted a status on his official Twitter account alluding to the fact that he was working on something with the number 12 in it.

While it’s purely speculation, the only thing that would make sense based on the director’s track record would be the third installment to the Little Roosters series, Twelve Little Roosters. A fictional series originally filmed in 2014, Ten Little Roosters told the story of a murder mystery – inspired by Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None – occurring in the Roosterteeth office.

Each week, a different member of the staff would die, with each death foreshadowed in the form of a poem. The show carried a much more comical, Roosterteeth style in comparison to the book though, even allowing fans to vote who they thought the murder, who they think will die, and how that person will meet their end each week.

Three years later, a sequel of sorts was released, again detailing the fictional lives of staff members at Roosterteeth, this time as a spy organization dubbed The Eleven Little Roosters. While it featured many different members, including Funhaus as the Sex von Shaukel Boyz, it related back to the first series using a few members.

So if my kindergarten counting is correct, Twelve Little Roosters is the next logical installment in the series. With that in mind, there has been no other hints or indications that the company plans on a third installment.

It’s entirely possible Flanagan could be working on a different project for Roosterteeth all together, an entirely new IP. Only time will tell, but so far, my favorite suggestion so far has been a 12 Angry Men parody, 12 Angry Roosters.
