After the wild Winter Sale of 2024, Steam has kicked off the RTS Fest of 2025, and boy, there are some great titles to grab. With so many deals to scoop up, we decided to go with our favorites. Some are a bit old, some are more recent, and a few are still receiving updates, but in general, all of them are a blast to play. So, whether you want a tactical experience full of Xenomorph creatures, a more relaxing village management game, or the power to summon titans to raze a town, here we have a few options that you must get during this sale.

1. Manor Lords – 30% Off

Let’s start with one of the newest kids on the block and one that everyone should watch out for during the Steam RTS Fest of 2025. Manor Lords launched in April 2024, and while it’s still marked as an early-access game, it’s already brimming with engaging content. At first, it may seem like a run-of-the-mill city builder, but in reality, the strategical layers it has are so well made that players will spend dozens of hours trying to create their ideal medieval town. The great thing about getting Manor Lords now is that you get to see the game’s development, as well as support the developers while they build a solid product before a full launch. Plus, most games tend to increase their price once they release a 1.0 version, so getting this game now is a great idea.

2. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – 90% Off

This is an oldie but goodie in every sense of the expression. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is one of the best stealth games we saw in the past decade. Despite its release back in 2016, it doesn’t feel dated at all and has some of the most compelling stealth mechanics on the market. Furthermore, it has many different playable characters that are highly unique in terms of gameplay. Also, it’s one of the cheapest games you can get during the sale, so that’s another big plus. And if that wasn’t enough, this should keep our Assassin’s Creed: Shadows fans occupied while we wait for the imminent release of Ubisoft’s next big title.

3. Age of Mythology: Retold – 33% Off

Age of Mythology: Retold turned out to be a fantastic remaster of a once thought-forgotten classic. With revamped visuals, better UI, smoother framerate, and the godly chaos we loved, AoM: Retold is a must-play and must-get during the Steam RTS Fest 2025. Also, it seems that the developers are still planning some post-launch content for it, so getting it now that it’s on sale is a good idea. It’s uncertain when or if these expansions will arrive, but even if they take a while, there’s a lot of content to experience and many scenarios you can tackle for some good old God versus God action.

4. Against the Storm – 50% Off

One of the most innovative games in the whole RTS genre has to be Against the Storm. It perfectly combines most of the things we love from real-time strategy and adds a handful of roguelite sparkles into the mix. What’s the result? A perfectly polished game with wild amounts of replayability. With each run being different and the races being quite unique, at least compared to other RTS games, Against the Storm is one of the best games you can get right now. And if you want more playtime in it, there’s also an expansion you can add to give you new species, biomes, and more.

5. Aliens: Dark Descent – 55% Off

Alien games have been a rollercoaster with more lows than highs, but Aliens: Dark Descent is one of the rare good Alien games we’ve had and on top of that, a terrific RTS squad-based experience. The game places your poor squad of soldiers on a planet overrun by Xenomorphs as your stranded crew looks for a way to escape. The story is interesting, and the gameplay is smooth, but in truth, it is any Alien‘s fans dream game… if we leave Isolation to the side for a bit. If you haven’t played it, you’ve missed one of the best Xenomorph-centric games we’ve had in a while as it blends sci-fi horror with proper RTS mechanics in the most satisfying way possible.
