It seems like we need to trust the dataminers more than the insiders these days, as the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 weapons are revealed to prove that point. A few days ago, Treyarch Studios teased a return of the iconic SMG for Zombies in Season 2, and we were speculating between the MP40 and the PPSH-41. Trustworthy dataminer of CoD, however, told us it’s the Russian WWII classic, while another prominent leaker put their money on the famous German SMG. We have the answer now; officially.
Call of Duty‘s official X account has revealed the key art images for the Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2. The skins look amazing, giving away the Ronin vibes from the second season of MW2 in 2023. And for some reason, soldiers are jumping off from a building while shooting. However, is that, the PPSH-41 I see back there?
Two new Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 weapons are revealed in this art piece, one of which is the WWII Russian SMG the PPSH-41, and the other is the FN-FAL. Now, there are a few things to consider here, one is that the PPSH-41 seen in this image has a small magazine attached, so that memorable 71 drum is probably unlocked by leveling it up. And, we don’t know if the BO6 version of the FN-FAL is semi or full-auto.
It’s noteworthy that in both of the images the main character, seemingly the ultimate Battle Pass prize, has a Katana. So it could be that the Katana is coming as a new melee weapon in Season 2, which would make it so frustrating if it one-shots opponents in Warzone. Also, one quick detail to point out in the end: Are these characters wall-running in the image? That’d be so odd if they actually added this to the game prior to Call of Duty 2025.
