How Does Karma Work in inZOI

It’s basically your badness level

In inZOI, players have a very particular job as Creators. Primarily, the Creators must keep the Zoi from dying of nonsense and help them live in their world. This includes ensuring that the Zoi do their job, have good relationships with the people around them, and, on occasion, check that their level of evil does not reach worrying levels. This is especially important because, in inZOI, there is a system of Karma, and the rank of each Zoi varies depending on whether you do bad or good deeds. Although, it’s worth noting the system goes far beyond doing good or bad.

What Is Karma? Explaining this Vital System for Zois

Karma is a value in inZOI that measures your character’s standing with others. However, it doesn’t only affect the Zoi you create. Every Zoi has a karma value. While we’ll delve further into how it increases and decreases, it’s basically like in real life. If you perform good actions, other Zois will treat you well. If you do something bad, Zois will treat you poorly.

Those familiar with sim games might already know what good and bad actions have repercussions with other characters in the world they’re playing—it isn’t too different in inZOI. Yet, someone who’s jumping into this game’s genre for the first time might feel a bit overwhelmed or confused; we don’t blame you.

Karma value also ranges from terrible (the lowest) to great (the best). Being on one end of the other will have different effects. For instance, if you have terrible Karma, Zois won’t interact with you in a friendly way. Conversely, having great Karma means you’ll have an easier time talking to others or getting more positive reactions. With that out of the way, let’s look at a few examples of how to increase or decrease Karma in inZOI. Although we don’t see why you’d need to decrease it, if you do, go ahead; you’re the master of this Zoi’s world, after all.

How To Increase (or Decrease Karma)

Acts such as clapping, being kind, or not showing anger in inZOI will give your Zoi good Karma and luck. Doing a good deed and then buying a lottery ticket is very useful; you may be surprised to win the prize.

On the other hand, if your Zoi likes to start fights with others, causes a road accident (it doesn’t matter if it was an accident), or commits a crime, you can expect them to end up in prison. However, this also affects other areas of their lives. Like a Zoi who loves to create rumors to break relationships or friendships, if this Zoi continues to gossip, people will turn away from them. Negative Karma can also bring bad luck in inZOI, and if this Zoi dies, it could end up as a ghost.

As a Creator, you must be alert to everyone’s behaviors in your world. The reports will help you see who misbehaves and needs a good scolding to improve their personality.
