Florida Teenager Divides Internet Over April Fool’s Prank: ‘Disgusting 100%’

It was just a prank.

People nowadays are a little bit too sensitive, or at least this is what I think. The best April Fool’s pranks are the ones that are extreme in a way. They are more creative and entertaining. This is why the internet was divided by an April Fool’s prank made by a Florida teenager. The teen basically pranked her best friend and told her that she was pregnant. Some found the prank hilarious, but others claimed it wasn’t appropriate to joke about pregnancy.

In the video, you can see the Florida teen lying down, with her best friend kneeling in front of her. She had already told her friend that she was pregnant, and her friend then started offering solutions. The best friend at first offers ideas to abort the baby including throwing the Florida teenager down the stairs. Another slightly extreme suggestion that she also made is to punch her stomach. When the Florida resident asks what if she wants to keep the baby, her friend says that she will support her still. In the end, she tells her that it was April Fool’s prank, and the friend takes off running in disbelief. At least she was supportive till the end.

People Reacting to the Florida Teenager’s Video

The internet was divided over the video with some finding it funny and others finding it disrespectful. Many people commented on how supportive the best friend was, as one said, “the way she was willing to help you get a diy abortion.” Someone had the same thought as they wrote, “NOT THE DIY ABORTION.” Another person added, “did she just offer to manually abort a baby.” One TikTok user even penned, “Now THIS is pro choice. She was willing ton [sic] help you no matter the choice.”

Despite how many people found the prank funny, some people came after the Florida teenager as they saw the prank as inappropriate. “Joking about pregnancy isn’t a joke,” one person wrote. Another person saw that pregnancy jokes were disgusting, but they still defended the Florida teenager. They wrote:

“Know what yeah I do genuinely believe using pregnancy as a ‘prank’ on April fools day is disgusting 100%, BUT, and stay with me here, she didn’t post it publicly, she didn’t make a big thing of it and it seems to only be between her and her friend, I think that’s the only grey area I think it’s acceptable when it’s not posted online or a huge thing is made of it.”

Another woman also came to the Florida teenager’s defense as they wrote, “Hey so I can’t get pregnant and I thought this was funny stop using me as a reason to fight people.” The teenager then posted a video replying to this comment and she wrote in the caption, “as you can see people in my generation who can’t get pregnant aren’t offended so respectfully yap to someone who gaf and GET OUT OF MY COMMENT SECTION.” In the end, while some didn’t like the prank, the majority of people found it hilarious. It’s honestly not that serious. It didn’t harm anyone, and those who were pranked found it funny so all is good.
