Blizzard is notorious for putting out some madly popular games, there’s no question about that. Diablo III holds the fifth spot for best-selling PC games ever, right behind World of Warcraft. Today, we’re paying homage to these achievements by featuring speedruns from all three games in the Diablo series. But not just regular any% runs, oh no. We’re showing off the most interesting and un-ordinary categories we could find for these games. Feel free to boot up your own copies and follow along… if you can.

For the first game in the franchise, it’s a level one run. The player must remain at level one throughout the game, without using the negative health glitch. Currently only the sorcerer class has been used for this category. There’s RNG involved, and you’ll see right at the start that the runner resets several times to get the items he’s after.

Here’s a pacifist run of Diablo II. As the title implies, hurting and killing enemies is not allowed. Because there are so many ways to fight, however, there’s an extensive list of exactly what actions and spells are forbidden and what situations will result in an invalidation (a few of which are even things more or less beyond player control). Needless to say, utmost precaution is a must for this category.

We’ve placed a link here rather than a video embed due to the fact that this is a three-player co-op speedrun of Diablo III. Each of the three runners submitted their video of their character perspective, and pasting all three of those here would clog up the page. They do split up during the run, so follow the player/character you find to be the most interesting.

And there you have it, some off-the-beaten-path speedruns of Diablo and its sequels. If you missed last week’s Speedrun Fast, you can find it here, where we showed Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. Hope you had a happy Thanksgaming, and hope you get everything you want for Black Friday.
