Ever since its reveal, we’ve all been curious about what MindsEye would be. Is it an open-world game with a story? Is it a third-person shooter? Can you create your own character? Yes to all of those questions. Today, Build A Robot Rocket Boy unveiled the “Introducing MindsEye” trailer, which featured a good chunk of gameplay as well as a hefty post-launch roadmap. With the release date so close to us, it is great to see how we have a more tangible product and one that seems way better than we thought.

MindsEye will be a sandbox for many players. In the above trailer, we saw a lot of the single-player gameplay, including shooter mechanics, hacking, and even driving. However, the big surprise is its user-generated content, which PC players will be able to enjoy once the game launches on June 10.

Build A Rocket Boy is bringing its own Game Creation System to allow players to craft whatever they want with what this game’s engine provides. That is actually great, as we’ve only seen this feature in other titles that don’t boast the visuals MindsEye has.

However, players won’t be the only ones adding content to the game. As shown in the MindsEye roadmap, the studio will update the game with new content to keep it fresh at all times. On top of what users create, it will make MindsEye a modern sandbox that we definitely need nowadays. Leslie Benzies, the studio’s founder and game director, made the following statement:

“Our team has poured their passion and dedication into creating MindsEye and the Game Creation System for almost a decade, to deliver players an unforgettable story campaign and empower them to craft their own world-class experiences. Continuous updates and fresh new content from our studio ensure MindsEye is an endless adventure.”

With the recent previews, many have said MindsEye boasts terrific visuals and interesting gameplay features. Yet, the Game Creation System is the one thing that will allure a lot of people onto the streets of Redrock. If you haven’t, you can pre-order the game right now. If you do so, you can pick between the standard and deluxe edition. The latter includes the Premium Pack and other bonus content. However, if you pre-order, you’ll get the deluxe edition upgrade for free. So, if you want an open-world adventure with top-notch action, MindsEye should be on your radar.
